UEFI is a way to do things with your computer before an operating system is loaded. Unified Extensible Firmware Interface ( UEFI) is just firmware code from a chip on your motherboard that provides extra functionality beyond the Basic Input/Output System (BIOS). If it says Legacy, this might be just the BIOS that does not have UEFI extension, or it coul be your BIOS/UEFI boot mode is set to Legacy mode I might be wrong but HP computers after 2012 come with UEFI - I really don't know but this is what I found on the Internet.
